2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine- softened
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. almond extract
1/2 pkg. coconut
1 cup Milk

Icing was made with Icing sugar, little butter, vanilla and milk.

Directions:
Directions:
Place all the wet ingredients in a bowl and and mix well.
Add the dry ingredients and mix well.
2 round cake pans - use Pam to grease them.
Pour batter into the two pans.
Bake at 350. oven for 30 to 35 minutes.
Check with tooth pick to see if done.
Ice the cake and ENJOY !

Oh the memories with this recipe. We so looked forward to this cake, because this special cake was made by our maternal Grandmother, Helena Robertson Harrison, known also as Gramma-Moose. The cake was made for our Birthdays and inside the cake was a dime wrapped in wax paper, the kid who was lucky to get this dime, felt like they were so rich and special !
