1 Cup Shortening
1 1/2 Cups Sugar
1/2 Cup Packed Brown Sugar
2 TBS Milk
1 tsp Vanilla
3 Eggs beaten
4 Cups Flour
1 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
1 1/2 tsp Cream of Tartar
1 tsp Salt

Directions:
Directions:
Beat shortening, sugar and brown sugar in large bowl in medium speed until creamy. Add milk and vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Combine flour, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt in separate large bowl. Add gradually to shortening mixture, beating until well blended.

Cover and chill 1 hour.

Heat over to 350. roll out 1/3 of dough at a time on lightly floured surface to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut out shapes.

Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets. Sprinkle with sugars or sprinkles if desired.

Bake 8 - 10 minutes or until edges are light golden brown.

Cool on baking sheet 2 minutes. Remove to wire rack.
