½ c butter
¾ c sugar
1 square (1 ounce) baker's unsweetened chocolate
2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
Baked 8 inch pie shell
Whipped cream and almonds

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter. Gradually add sugar. Blend in the chocolate which has been melted and cooled. Add vanilla. Add eggs one at a time beating each for five (5) minutes at medium speed after each addition. Pour mixture in baked, cooled pie shell and chill two (2) hours or overnight. Garnish with whipped cream and almonds.

My grandmother found this recipe in her local paper, the Albuquerque Journal, and made this pie for every holiday. It continues to be a family holiday favorite!
