1/4 C sugar
1 C butter softened
.1 (3 oz) package cream cheese softened
1 tsp vanilla
2 C flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 C strawberry jam

Directions:
In a large bowl combine sugar, butter, cream cheese and vanilla. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until well mixed ( about 1 min.) Reduce speed to low; add flour and salt. Continue beating and scraping bowl often, until lmixed (1 - 2 min). Divide dough into 4 equal portions. Wrap in plastic food wrap. Refrigerate until firm (at least 2 hours). Heat oven to 375. On lightly floured surface, roll out dough 1 portion at a time (keeping remaining dough refrigerated.) to 1/8 " thickness. Cut with 2 " round cookie cutter. Place on cookie sheets 1" apart. Spoon 1/4tsp jam onto center of each unbaked circle; spread to within 1/4" of edge of cookie. With thin spatula, fold dough over the jam to form a lily shape: gently press narrow end to seal. Bake 7 - 11 minutes or until edges are very lightly browned. Sprinkle cooled cookies with powdered sugar.

Yiled: 8 dozen.
