2 8-oz pkgs cream cheese
¾ cup dark brown sugar,, packed
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
½ chopped pecans
9" graham cracker crust

Directions:
Directions:
Set oven to 325º

Combine the softened cream cheese, sugar and vanilla, mixing until well blended.
Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Fold in chopped nuts.
Pour into graham cracker crust
.
Bake at 325º for 35 minutes. Cool. To garnish, brush with maple syrup and top with pecan halves.

The photo is one of Ruth in her kitchen about 1968, the same year that I first met her. This pic is so typical of all women who set their hair in the 50's and 60's, including me! (Electric rollers came in a few years later.) To teens, wearing curlers during the day was a sign of an upcoming date!
