Cookies-
Cream together

3/4 c. Butter
3/4 c. Shortening
4 eggs
2 Cups Sugar
1 tsp. Pure vanilla
1 tsp. Pure Almond Extract
(if you want the dough colored add food coloring to the wet before you add dry ingredients.

Sift Together and add into creamed mixture.
5 cups Flour
2 tsp. Salt
2 tsp. Baking Powder

Buttercream Frosting for Cookies

Cream together

1/2 c. softened Butter
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 tsp. almond extract
5 c. confectioners' sugar
1/4 cup milk
dash of salt
food coloring if desired


Directions:

Preheat oven to 350º
Chill a minimum of 1 hour, Best if chilled overnight.
Take chilled dough and Roll to 1/4 in thick on a floured surface.
Cut into desired shapes and place onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for 6 Minutes in pre-heated oven.
When done remove and leave on cookie sheet to cool for five minutes.

When removed and cooled for an hour before frosting with buttercream frosting below.

These are Grandmas best cookies! You can cut recipe in half, but make loads and give them away.
