7 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 tsp salt
½ tsp baking powder
6 eggs separated (save egg whites for top)
1 cup Evaporated Milk
1 tsp Vanilla

FILLING
2-3 cans crushed pineapple (drained & reserve juice)
½ cup sugar
3-4 Tbsp corn starch
Jar cherries chopped (reserve juice)

Filling
Uuse juice from pineappe and cherries - heat until warm, add corn starch - cook until thick, add rest of filling ingredients (sugar,pineapple,cherries) - stir until mixed. Let cool while you make the dough. .

Dough
Mix shortening, sugar & salt, add eggs and mix well, add flour, baking powder, milk and vanilla, make dough, divide dough into 2 or 4 even balls. Spread on cookie sheet like a pizza. On waxed paper spread 2nd dough to fit cookie sheet, set aside.

Spread filling on top of dough in pan. Place 2nd dough on top. Before baking whip egg whites until stiff, spread on top of dough, sprinkle chopped nuts on top

Bake at 350 for approximately 40 minutes.
