1 can crushed pineapple in syrup (20 oz.)
1 can cherry pie filling
1 box yellow cake mix
1 cup chopped pecans
½ c. (1 stick) margarine, melted


Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350ºF

Grease 12x9x2 in. baking dish. Dump undrained pineapple into dish and spread it out. Dump in pie filling and spread evenly over pineapple. Dump dry cake mix onto cherry layer and spread evenly. Sprinkle pecans over cake mix. Drizzle margarine or butter over top. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes. Serve warm or cold, plain or with ice cream or whipped topping.

Different flavors of cake mix, pie filling, fruit and nuts may be used. For example, spice cake with apple pie filling and walnuts; white cake with blueberry pie filling, etc. I read one that used apple pie filling (2 cans), left out the pineapple and added 1/2 a cup of caramel sauce! Just use your imagination and dump it!!
