Pound of green beans
Half stick of butter
Dash of salt
3 dashes of pepper to your taste

Snap the beans to remove the ends. Wash them. Bring water in a small pot to a boil. Wait for the water to come to a full boil. Drop green beans in the boiling water for ten minutes. Pour the hot water off. Add cold water to shock them for about five minutes. Use a skillet to melt butter and add the beans. Add all the beans and season. Stir to make sure all the beans get butter on them. Serve hot.
