Ingredients: 1 lb. Pinto Beans-cooked 2 lbs. Hamburger ½ lb. to 1 lb. Sausage (Optional) 1 med. chopped Onion 1 Tablespoon minced Garlic 1 Green Pepper chopped fine 2 teaspoons Salt 1 teaspoon Paprika 1 teaspoon to ½ jar MEXCENE Chili Powder ( or Chili Powder of your choice) 6 ribs of Celery chopped fine ½ Cup of Tomato Paste 1 -2 large chopped/diced canned Tomatoes

Directions: |
Directions:PopBob usually cooked the Pinto Beans over night in the slow-cooker. Later on he used Canned Pintos-drained-2 to 4 cans-or a mixture of canned Chili Beans & Kidney Beans.
Brown onion, garlic, green pepper & celery in enough oil to keep it from burning. Add meat & brown. While meat is browning add salt, paprika & chili powder. Add tomato paste & tomatoes-reserving juice from tomatoes to be added later if more juice is needed. Simmer about 1 hour. Add drained beans ½ hour before serving & simmer over low heat.
The longer the Chili stands the better it gets. |

Notes: PopBob also liked to add cubes of cheddar cheese to the pot of Chili and then have plenty of shredded cheese on the table for your own addition.
