3 Eggs
1 Cup Light or Dark Karo Corn Syrup (PopBob used 1/2 Cup of each)
1 Cup Sugar
2 Tablespoons Margarine or Butter
1 teaspoon Vanilla
⅛ teaspoon Salt
2 Cups Pecan Halves (May use more if desired)
1 Unbaked 9" Pie Shell

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl with mixer on medium speed beat eggs slightly. Beat in corn syrup, sugar, butter, vanilla & salt until well blended. Stir in pecans by hand. Pour filling in pie shell. Bake at 350º for 55-65 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between center & edge comes out clean. Cool for at least 30 minutes on table, then serve.
May be baked ahead of time of use then frozen until needed. Let thaw for about 1 hour before use.

PopBob always enjoyed baking, especially during the holidays, with Tori and Lane and Dakota. If the recipe was used for an 8" pie there would be some of the filling left and before anyone else figured it out he tried combining the filling for pumpkin pie and the filling for the pecan pie into one pie.
Turned out great and that pie was usually eaten up before the others. Pumpkin Pie recipe was followed on the side of the can it came in. Use canned pumpkin NOT pumpkin pie mix.
