5 lbs. Apples
4 Cups Sugar
4 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
¾ teaspoons Ground Cloves
2 Cups of Water

Directions:
Clean, peel, core & slice apples. In a large pot add the 2 Cups of Water, Apples & cook down 35-40 minutes. Mash the Apples & Water together. I use a potato masher. Add Sugar, Cinnamon & Cloves. Cook & Stir until consistency you like making sure it doesn't scorch. Put in canning jars & put in boiling water above lids & boil for 10 minutes.
DO NOT TRY TO MAKE MORE THAN ONE BATCH AT A TIME.

Each recipe for this I'd get about 4 to 4 1/2 Pints out of it. Takes a lot of time but well worth it, right Grand Kids?
