1 package dried apples pieces (cut away hard core or edges to prepare for cooking)
Water to cover apples
Sugar to taste - approximately 1/4 cup.

Directions:
Directions:
1. Place apples in a pressure cooker.
2. Add just enough water to cover.
3. Cover with lid and pressure cook for about 10-15 minutes.
4. Sweeten cooked apples with sugar, start with 1/4 cup, and mash together.
5. After mashed well, serve hot.

Mother cooked steamed apples often and they were delicious. She wasn’t specific on measurements, so this is a basic recipe that I wrote down. Cinnamon would also be great added to the sugar and apples! This is so easy, yet so good!
