2 medium to 1 large yellow onions, chopped finely
1-2 large cans or 3 small cans of tomato paste
1 small can of diced tomatoes
1 large can of tomato puree
2-3 gloves of garlic, minced
1-2 cups red wine
2 Tbsp. oregano
1Tbsp. basil
2 bay whole leaves
3-4 tsp. salt
1-2 tsp. pepper
3 heaping Tbsp. of sugar
2 Tbsp. of extra virgin olive oil
water
Suzy’s Meatballs

1 lb. Pasta of your choice
Parmesan cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare Suzy’s meatballs as directed.

Saute oil, onions and garlic over a medium high heat until onions are translucent. Add tomato paste, tomato puree and diced tomatoes to sauce pan. Add 3 cans of water for every can of tomato paste. Mix well. Add seasonings. Bring to a boil. Add Suzy’s prepared meatballs slowly. Add wine.

Lower burner heat to low and simmer for three (3) hours, stirring often. Do not let onions or meatballs burn.

Prepare pasta according to package directions. Drain pasta and return to pan with sauce added. Ladle pasta to plates topped with meatballs. Serve with cheese.
