1/2 cup Wholebran
3/4 cup Buttermilk
1 1/2 cups Flour
1 tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. Salt
2 Tbsp. Sugar
1/2 cup Shortening
1 Tbsp. Melted Butter

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 F

Combine first 2 ingredients and let stand until most of the buttermilk has been absorbed. Sift flour with next 4 ingredients. Cut in shortening until it looks like cornmeal. Add bran. Knead several times and roll to 1/2" thick. Brush with melted butter. Fold in half and roll to 1/2" thick. Cut out with cookie cutter and place on greased baking sheet. Bake for 15 min.
