1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 egg beaten
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cup sifted flour
1/2 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, Gradually add sugar. Add egg and vanilla
Add flour etc.
Roll into a roll. Chill in refrigerator. Slice and bake.
Bake at 375º for 7 to 10 minutes.
