14.5 oz. box Quaker Oatmeal Squares breakfast cereal (size is important)
2 cups pecan pieces ¼cup butter
1 tsp. vanilla ½cup Karo light syrup
½ tsp. baking soda ½ cup firmly packed brown sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 250 degrees

Spray a large loaf pan (9X13 or larger) with PAM, then combine cereal and pecans & set aside.
Combine syrup, sugar and butter in a 4 cup microwavable container & microwave for 1 ½ minutes.
Stir, then return to microwave for about 30 seconds more until contents boil.
Remove from microwave & add vanilla and baking soda.
This will cause mixture to bubble up.
Stir, then pour over cereal mixture and stir to coat evenly.
Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes.
Spread on cookie sheets or parchment paper to cool completely.
