1 cup shortening
2 cups brown sugar
½ cup molasses
2 eggs
4⅓ cups flour
1 t. ginger
1 t. cloves
1 t. nutmeg
2 t. cinnamon
¼ t. salt
1 t. baking soda

Chill well, then roll in sugar. Bake in 350º or 375º oven.
