1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1 egg
1 teaspoon soda dissolved in 2 Tablespoons hot water
1 1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup peanut butter

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening sugars, add egg and peanut butter, soda water, add flour. Roll into balls teaspoon size. Place on
cookie sheet flatten with fork.dipped in flour or crisscross.

Bake at 350
8-10 minutes

Chocolate chips optional
