1 lg. onion, cut into ¼" pieces
1¼ c. all-purpose flour
1 t. baking powder
1 t. salt
1 egg
1 c. milk, or as needed
¾ c. Panko bread crumbs
seasoned salt to taste
1 qt. oil for frying

Directions:
Directions:
Heat the oil to 365º in a deep fryer. Separate the onion slices in rings and set aside. In a small bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and salt. Dip the onion slices into the flour mixture to coat and set aside. Whisk the egg and milk into the flour. Dip the onions into the batter to coat and place on a wire rack until they stop dripping. Place rings in the bread crumbs on a plate and coat. Fry for 2 - 3 minutes or until golden brown. Remove to paper towels and sprinkle with seasoned salt.
