¾ C Butter
2 C Sugar
2 Eggs, well beaten
½ C Molasses
2 tsp. Vinegar
3¾ C Sifted Flour
1½ tsp Baking Soda
2-3 tsp. Ginger
½ tsp. Cinnamon
¼ tsp. Cloves

Directions:

Grease cookie sheets and preheat oven to 325ºF

Cream together butter and sugar. Stir in eggs, molasses and vinegar. Sift together flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon and cloves then add to butter mixture. Stir until blended. Form dough into ¾ in. balls. Bake 11-12 mins. As the ball melts down during baking, the cookie will develop the characteristic crinkled surface.

Makes about 10 doz. 2 in. cookies.
