16 oz. loaf French bread
8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
1/2 c. margarine
10 eggs
2 c. milk
1/4 c. maple syrup

Optional: 1-1/2 c. strawberries
1/2 c. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Cut entire loaf of bread into cubes; set aside.
Place cream cheese, margarine, and syrup in a large microwave-safe bowl. Cook in microwave oven until cheese and margarine are soft and can be blended together with syrup. Add bread cubes and mix until coated. Place in a greased 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
Using the same bowl, mix eggs and milk. Pour over bread mixture. Cover with aluminum foil or plastic wrap and set in the refrigerator for at least one hour or overnight.
About one hour before serving, remove casserole to counter top. In a medium-size bowl, mash strawberries and mix with sugar. Pour over bread mixture.
Bake uncovered at 350° for 35-45 minutes or until set. Serve hot with syrup or whipped topping.
