"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 cups butter
1½ cups sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
4½ cups flour
½ tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º. Start with room temp butter (but not too soft). Cream butter and sugar then add eggs and vanilla and whip couple minutes.

Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add dry ingredients and mix another 2 minutes.

Load cookie gun and press onto cookie sheets. Do not chill dough. If cookies don't come out right away let dough sit and continue to get to room temp and they will press more easily.

Decorate with colored sugars and bake 8-10 minutes depending on size. These cookies are best slightly browned.
