celery, chopped
onion, chopped
milk
butter
salt
pepper

As you can see, there really isn't a recipe! Just toss the vegetables into a pot with enough water to keep from scorching, and boil until potatoes are mushy. Mash it up with an old-fashioned potato masher and thin with milk. Add butter, salt, and pepper to taste. I often use some Beau Monde seasoning, too.
