½ cup sugar
1 cup dark Karo syrup
¼ tsp salt
1 tbsp flour
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp butter
1¼ cups pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Beat together sugar, syrup, salt, flour and eggs. Add vanilla, butter and pecans. Pour into unbaked 9” shell. Bake at 300º for 1 hour.

Bake until crust is golden brown and filling is puffed and set, though center may still move when dish is shaken (that’s the mistake I made when made this that first time in Park City and ended up baking it WAY too long trying to get the center to firm up!).

I love using this recipe because it’s hand-written by my Grandma and she has noted “I have made this lots of times” on the card.
