1 large can tomatoes
2 - 8oz cans tomato sauce
1½ tsp salt
1 tsp dried oregano
½ tsp pepper

1 lb ground beef
1 minced garlic clove
1 c minced onion
3 T. oil

½ lb lasagne
1 - 8oz dry cottage cheese
½ lb sliced mozzarella cheese
½ c grated parmesan cheese

In large sauce pan, combine tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt, oregano, pepper. Heat slowly, meanwhile, in a skillet, sauté onions & garlic until lightly brown. Add meat and cook until it looses it red color. Add meat and onion mixture to tomato sauce and simmer about 2 hours.

Cook lasagne. Drain and separate noodles. Heat oven to 350º. Grease 9x13 pan. Place several spoonfuls of sauce in pan. Top with half of the lasagne noodles, half of cheese, cover with more sauce. Repeat.

Bake 40 minutes.

Let stand 15 minutes. Cut into squares.
