Cook until thickened :
6 cups boiling water,
1 1/2 cups grits
2 tsp of salt
Add to grits mixtures:
1 1/4 sticks margarine
1 lbs. mild cheddar, grated
3 eggs, well beaten
3 T. Pimento
3 T. canned green chillis.
 

Directions:
Directions:
Pour into a shallow buttered baking dish. Bake 1 hour at 350. Serves 15-16 people. Keeps well in refrigerator.
 
I add a can of Rotel tomatoes and a small can of green chilis. Sometimes I also add cooked shrimp.
