1. Cup packed brown sugar
3/4. cup bacon grease or shortening
1/4. cup molasses
1. egg
2 1/4. cups all-purpose flour
2. teaspoons baking soda
1. teaspoon ground cinnamon
1. teaspoon ground ginger
1/2. teaspoon ground cloves
1/4. teaspoon salt

Mix in order and scoop ball and roll in 3. tablespoons granulated sugar

325 degrees for approx 13 mins

This is a variation of mom’s Happy Farm recipe. Seems less complicated and the bacon fat brings the taste of home!
