¾ Cup Red Karo Syrup
¼ Cup Butter
¼ Cup Brown Sugar
3 Cups Flour
4 tsp Baking Powder
½ tsp Salt
½ Cup Shortening
1 Cup Milk

Raisin Nut Filling

¼ Cup Red Karo Syrup
2 Tbs. Butter
Spread over dough and sprinkle with ¼ Cup Brown Sugar and 2 Tsp. Cinnamon, ¼ Cup of Raisins and ½ Cup Chopped Nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Place first 3 ingredients in sauce pan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Boil 1 minute. Pour into cake pan. Mix and sift flour, baking powder, salt...add shortening and milk. Turn into floured board and roll into ¼ inch thickness. Spread with raisin nut filling and roll. Cut into 1 inch slices and place cut side in syrup. Bake 45 minutes at 375. Let stand in pan 2 minutes.
