1 cup butter, softened
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3 cups chocolate chips
1.5 cups chopped pecans

1. Preheat oven to 375º.

2. In a large mixing bowl beat butter with an electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 seconds. Add the brown sugar, granulated sugar, baking soda, salt. Beat until mixture is combined, scraping sides of bowl occasionally. Beat in eggs and vanilla until combined. Beat in as much of the flour as you can with the mixer. Stir in any remaining flour. Stir in chocolate pieces.

3. Drop dough by rounded teaspoon 2 inches apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet.

4. Bake for 8 to 9 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
