Okra
Alum

1 c sugar
1 c water
2 c vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
Soak okra in salt water all day or overnite.
Remove from water.
Soak all day or overnite in alum water. (1 tsp alum to 1 gal water)
Remove and drain. Put in jars.
Mix together: sugar, water, & vinegar
Heat
Let cool slightly and pour over okra in jars.
Seal.
Make vinegar to suit taste.
