Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 cup butter, room temperature (real butter, not margarine)
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 Tablespoon vanilla
2 eggs
2-1/2 cups flour
3 - 4 cups of chocolate chips OR 2 bags of butterscotch chips
1 bag chopped macadamia nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream the sugars and butter until fluffy then add salt, soda. Then add vanilla and eggs. Next add flour. Now, you can add 3-4 cups of chocolate chips OR 2 bags of butterscotch chips and 1 bag chopped macadamia nuts. Spoon onto cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.

If you have a convection oven, bake them at 350º F for 6-7 minutes then turn the pan and bake 6-7 minutes more. The key to the softness is to not over bake them, duh right? They will actually look a little under done in the middle but will carry over cook when you take them out. Make sure you whip the butter and sugars good. It helps make them fluffy.
