1 Pkg Yellow cake mix (reserve 2/3 C for filling)
1/2 C Butter
1 Egg
1/2 C Chopped pecans

Filling:

1/2 C Firmly brown sugar
1 1/2 C Corn syrup
1 tsp Vanilla
3 Eggs
1/2 C Pecans finely chopped

Preheat oven to 375º

Mix the first four ingredients until crumbly, and press in a 9x13" baking pan. Bake for 15 minutes or until light golden brown. Prepare filling: Take the rest of the cake mix, put in a large bowl with the remaining ingredients except the pecans, stir thoroughly. Pour onto the crust and then sprinkle with the pecans. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until set. Cool and cut.
