8oz. Bag slivered blanched almonds
2/3 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 3/4 cup all purpose flour

Directions:
Directions:
Combine eggs and sugar and beat till light yellow and
a ribbon forms when beater is lifted.
Add almond and vanilla, beat to incorporate.
On a piece of wax paper, sift flour, baking powder, and salt.
Start mixer on low, gradually add dry ingredients,
mixing thoroughly after each addition. Add almonds, mix.
Shape dough into a 12x3 1/2 inch loaf.
Bake 25 minutes at 350°,remove from oven, cool 10 min.
Lower temp to 325°, cut loaf into 1/3 inch pieces
Place pieced face down on cookie sheet, cook 8 minutes,
Turn cookies over and cook another 6 to 8minutes until
Light golden brown, cool, store in air tight container.
