1 cup Brown Sugar
1 cup Melted butter
2 cups Flour, sifted
2 cups Rolled oats
½ tsp. Baking soda
2 tbsp. Water
1 #2 can Crushed pineapple
1 small pkg. Dates, cut up
½ cup Sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Mix baking soda in 2 tbsp. of boiling water and let rest for a minute. Add brown sugar, melted butter, and rolled oats in saucepan and cook till thick. Be careful not to burn. in bowl mix crushed pineapple, dates, and sugar. Use 9x13" pan, grease well. Take ½ of dough mixture and press down in pan. Spread pineapple mixture over. Add rest of dough mixture and press down. Bake about 45 minutes at 350º or till light brown.
