1 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
3 c. ground oatmeal
½ c. sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
Enough flour to make dough stiff


Date Filling:
1 lb. ground or chopped dates
1 c. sugar
1 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla

Raisin Filling:
1 lb. ground raisins
1 c. sugar
1 c. water
2 tbsp. flour
1 tbsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Cream butter and sugar. Add beaten egg and vanilla. Combine alternating, milk and oatmeal. Add soda and flour. Cut with round cookie cutters. Add filling of choice and fold in half and seal edges. Bake 8 minutes.

Date Filling:
Cook first 3 ingredients until thick, add vanilla and cool.

Raisin Filling
Cook first 3 ingredients over low heat for 5 minutes. Add flour and vanilla. Cool.
