3 /4 C. room temp shortening
1 C. of sugar
1 egg
1 /2 C. applesauce
1 /4 tsp cloves
1 C. seedless raisins
1 /2 tsp. baking soda
1 /2 tsp salt
3 /4 tsp cinnamon
1/2 C. of walnuts
2 1/4 C. of flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together the shortening, sugar, egg, and applesauce. Add the cloves and the raisins. Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and drop by teaspoonful onto a greased cookie sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes at 375º
