2/3 c. butter or margarine
2/3 c. Crisco
1 c. sugar
1 c. light brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 1/2 c. flour
1 t. baking soda
12 oz. bag of chocolate chips
Optional: 1 1/2 c. Pecans
variations: M&M plain or white chocolate chips/macadamia nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Beat the sugar and crisco til fluffy. Add in sugars slowly and blend well. Add the vanilla. Slowly add in flour and baking soda. Mix well. Stir in chocolate chips by hand. Scoop heaping tablespoons of the dough onto the prepared pans. Space the cookies about 2-inches apart on the pan.

Bake cookies for 13-15 minutes; til golden brown.
