1 c. brown sugar
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 stick butter
1 c. quick-cooking oatmeal
1 1/4 c. boiling water
1 1/3 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon

Topping:
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 c. chopped nut
1 c. coconut
3 T. melted butter
3 T. milk
Directions:
Directions:
Pour boiling water over oatmeal. Let stand 10 minutes. Cream stick of butter, sugar, and egg. Add soaked oatmeal. Add dry ingredients. Mix well and pour into a 9 x 13 greased cake pan. Mix topping ingredients and spread over cake before baking. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 min. or until center is cooked.
