2/14 tsp active dry yeast (1 envelope)
1/4 C very warm water
1/3 C sugar
1/4 C butter
1 tsp salt
1 egg slightly beaten
1 C scalding hot milk
41/2 C flour sifted

Heat oven 375º, bake for 18 - 20 minutes.

Sprinkle yeast over warm water in large bowl, stir til dissolved.

Add sugar, 1/4 C butter, and salt to hot milk and stir til sugar is dissolved and butter is melted. Cool to 105º or 115º.

Add milk mix to yeast, beat in egg. Beat in 4 C flour, 1 C at a time to form a soft dough.

Use the 1/2 C flour to knead dough for 5 minutes. Dough will be sticky us as little flour as possible.

Shape dough into 1 1/2" diameter balls and place in rows, not quite touching, in a well buttered 13*9*2" pan.

Cover rolls and let rise til double 30to 40 minutes

Brush tops with butter.

I loved Golden Corral Rolls and found this recipe. I tried it once, when I was in Oregon and it didn't work well. I might have used to much flour to knead. I included this recipe because it is one I want to try until I get it right (or someone else gets it right).
