1/3 cup Bourbon ( or any other whiskey)
1 cup Brown sugar
1 teaspoon maple syrup (optional)
1 poundof thick cut side bacon

Heat oven to 400F
Put slices of bacon on a cake rack on a lipped cookie sheet and bake for ten minutes.
In the meantime mis the Bourbon, sugar and syrup together until sugar is melted into mixture.
Remove bacon tray from oven and with a teaspoon ofsugar mixture on each slice spread the length of the slice, put back in oven for ten minutes, takeout of oven, carefully turn each slice over and repeat process . Do this every ten minutes until sugar mixture is all gone. after last ten minute cook time turn oven off and leave bacon to dry and cool. Once cool you can eithe rbrek into smaller pieces to serve or for the height of decadence you can take the full strip and dip one half in melted darkchocolate andthen let Haden before serving
