3/4 C sugar
3 T starch (I want to find a healthy thickener, starch isn't good for you)
1/2 t cinnamon
4 C blueberries (fresh blueberries are best)
1 T butter

Preheat oven 425 degrees. Cook for about 50 minutes.

Mix sugar,cornstarch, salt & cinnamon, sprinkle over blueberries.

Pour mix in crust and dot with butter.

Top crust: (see sourdough pie crust recipe)
Cut into 1/2 - 3/4 inchwide strips & make a lattice top. Crimp and flute edges.
Bake pie on lower shelf of oven for about 50 minutes or until crust is golden brown.

This was my first fruit pie and it turned out fantastic. Well, time to be honest, the first blueberry pie I made I misread the amount of sugar. I put in 4 cups, ya it wasn't so great. Hahaha, lesson learned. READ the recipe close, only needed 3/4 cup. Quite the difference.
