¾ c. Sugar divided
⅓ c. Flour (plain or self rising)
Dash of salt
3 eggs separated
2 c. Milk
½ t. Vanilla flavoring
Wafers
5 medium ripe bananas

Directions:
Directions:
Mix ½ c. sugar, flour, and salt in double boiler. Blend in 3 egg yolks and then milk. Cook uncovered 10-12 minutes or until thickened, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla flavoring. Spread little custard on bottom of ½ quart baking dish, cover with wafers, then sliced bananas. Repeat this 2 more times. And end with custard on the top.

Beat egg whites on high speed until sof peaks form. Then add remaining ¼ c. Sugar, beat until still a peak forms. Pour over custard and bake 15-20 minutes or until brown.
