3 sweet potatoes, peeled and boiled 1/2 cup packed brown sugar 2 Tbsp. butter 2 Tbsp. water Dash of cinnamon and nutmeg
Slice cooked sweet potatoes and arrange in buttered casserole dish. Set aside In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter and water. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Stir in cinnamon and nutmeg. Pour hot syrup over potatoes and bake uncovered for 30 minutes at 350 degrees, basting occasionally.
This is one of the only ways Tom (Uncle Tom) will eat sweet potatoes.
