2 cups sugar
1 up water
⅔ cups white karo syrup
½ tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Boil sugar, water, karo syrup until it spins a thread as it comes off your spoon. Add cream of tartar, soda, vanilla, food coloring. Pour hot syrup over popped corn (1 ½ - 2 cups unpopped corn or 20 cups popped).
Form in to balls.

10/26/92 Cooked to almost 270º (candy thermometer). Drop attached to a thread. Little chewy, may cook longer next time. Used 1 ½ c. white popcorn, a little too much.
