1 cup butter or oleo
2 cups white sugar
4 egg yolks, well-beaten
1 cup drained crushed pineapple
1 cup chopped nuts
4 egg whites
Box vanilla wafers
Shredded coconut
Marchino cherrys
Cool Whip

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add well-beaten egg yolks and pineapple. Mix well. Add nuts. Fold in egg whites what have been well-beaten. Put between vanilla wafer stacks about 4 high. Refrigerate until the crackers get soft. Frost with whipped cream just before serving. Add a maraschino cherry and sprinkle with coconut.

Mother made these all the time when I was a kid. It was a real treat to get your very own dessert with a cherry on the top. All do try these and you will pass it on to your kids and grandkids as well. When mother served these she would cover a stiff piece of cardboard in tin foil and the snowballs would look so pretty on that tray.
