2 lb. hamburger
1 large onion
3 large potatoes chunked
3-4 stalks celery diced
Bag of carrots, coined
Half head of cabbage (optional)
1 large can diced tomatoes
1 large can tomato juice
1 can tomato soup
1/2 cup ketchup
Barley (optional)
1 can creamed corn
1 can peas

Have put turnips, rutabaga, cauliflower in as well. Other words, clean out fridge and toss it is, hence the name Sunday Soup.

Boil hamburger and onion in 3-4 cups water. Break off pieces of hamburger while it is boiling in to bite-size pieces. When completely cooked add other ingredients except for tomato juice, soup and canned veggies. When completely cooked add the tomato juice, tomato soup and canned veggies and heat thoroughly. Salt and pepper to taste.

I have made this recipe up in the 1980's and haven't missed many Sundays. I would make enough to freeze in butter bowls to last a week and freezes well.
