½ cup solid veg shortening
½ cup butter
1 teaspoon clear vanilla extract
4 cups powdered sugar
2 Tablespoons milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and shortening with mixer. Add vanilla. Gradually add sugar, 1 cup at a time beating on medium speed. Scrape sides often. When all has been mixed, icing will appear dry. Add mild and beat at medium speed until fluffy. Keep icing covered with damp cloth until ready to use, For best results, keep icing in fridge in air tight container. Can be stored for 2 weeks. Rewhip before using. Add 3-4 tablespoons light corn syrup per recipe to thin for icing cake.
