1 pound dried navy beans
1½ quarts water
1 meaty ham bone
14½ ounces canned chopped tomatoes
1 small onion -- chopped
1 cup celery -- chopped
½ cup carrots -- chopped
1 bay leaf
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
salt and pepper -- to taste
fresh parsley -- chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Place first 9 ingredients in a large pot and bring to boil; turn down heat to simmer and cook for 3 hour or until beans are tender. Remove 2 cups of the bean mixture, puree in a blender, and return to the soup. Remove meat from bone and place meat in soup. Season with salt and pepper; garnish with parsley.
