2 cups boiling water
2 cups diced potatoes
1/2 cup carrot slices
1/2 cup celery slices
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup flour
2 cups milk
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
16 ounce can cream style corn
6 slices of bacon, cooked and chopped (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Add boiling water to potatoes, carrots, celery, onion and pepper. Cover, simmer 10 minutes. Do not drain.

Warm milk in sauce pan. To make white sauce, mix 1/4 cup cool water with flour; add to warm milk. Add cheese, stir until melted. Add corn and undrained vegetables. Heat, do not boil.
